History
The stop opened on 1 September 1913 on the Toyama Electric Tramway, passing to the City of Toyama's tramway on 1 July 1920 and to Toyama Chihou Railway on 1 January 1943. On 1 March 1943 the stop was suspended, as power restrictions made every service an express. The Toyama air raid led to the line's suspension on 2 August 1945, and the stop resumed on 15 March 1949 with the Toyama-eki-mae section restored. It was renamed Marunouchi on 5 August 1952, when the Yasunoya Line opened. The Nishicho–Marunouchi section was abolished on 31 March 1973, and the Toyama Toshin Line opened between them on 23 December 2009. The stop is numbered C18 and lies in Marunouchi 1-chome, Toyama.
Notes
The track makes a pronounced curve near this stop, and when the Toyama Toshin Line opened, the platforms were moved toward Toyama-eki-mae, but the new platform for trams bound for Minami-Toyama-eki-mae was not in use, while the older platform before the intersection turn stayed in service.
