Kencho-mae is a stop on Toyama Chiho Railway's Toyama Tram Line branch, in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. It opened on 1 September 1913 under another name on the Toyama Electric Tramway and passed to Toyama City on 1 July 1920 as a Toyama Municipal Tramway stop. A route change moved it around 1934, and it moved again to its present site on 10 September 1935; it was renamed Kencho-mae by 1936. The line passed to Toyama Chiho Railway on 1 January 1943. The Toyama air raid suspended service on 2 August 1945, and service resumed on 15 March 1949. A slope and a shelter made it barrier-free on 13 March 2014. Its station number is C17.

From March 1997, Route 1 trams from Minami-Toyama Ekimae turned back at this stop instead of at Toyama Ekimae, using a crossover built here, until the timetable revision of 10 December 2001 restored the Toyama Ekimae turnback; the crossover was removed later.
