Location
History
Nagakute Kosenjo Station is in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, on Aichi Rapid Transit's Tōbu Kyūryō Line, the Linimo maglev. It opened on 6 March 2005. It is numbered L04, 3.4 km from the starting point at Fujigaoka. The elevated station has an island platform serving two tracks, its building beneath, three elevators and platform screen doors. To counter a ridership slump after the Aichi Expo closed, free commuter buses to universities ran from April 2006 until the end of January 2007, returning under Meitetsu Bus in April 2010. Manaca IC cards were accepted from 12 March 2016; the adjoining AEON Mall Nagakute, deck-linked, opened on 4 December 2016, and the secondary name "AEON Mall Nagakute-mae" followed on 9 December 2016. JTB's timetable treats it as Nagakute's central station.
Notes
Partly because of these measures, the station passed neighbouring Irigaike Koen in fiscal 2011 to become the line's fourth-busiest, and partly because AEON Mall Nagakute had opened, it passed Ai・Chikyuhaku Kinen Koen in fiscal 2016 to become the third-busiest.
