History
Geidai-dori Station opened on 6 March 2005 as an intermediate stop on the Tōbu Kyūryō Line, the urban maglev route branded Linimo, operated by the Aichi Rapid Transit Company. It stands in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, 4.5 km from the line's starting point at Fujigaoka, numbered L05 between Nagakute Kosenjo (L04) and Koen Nishi (L06). A single island platform, raised on a viaduct, serves two tracks; the station building sits below it. Two elevators, at the entrance and inside the ticket gates, give barrier-free access; movable platform screen doors are fitted. Manaca IC cards have been accepted since 12 March 2016. The surrounding area includes Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, the Toyota Automobile Museum and Toyota Central R&D Labs.
Notes
Its closeness to the Toyota Automobile Museum has given the station an alternative written form, "Toyota Hakubutsukan-mae" — literally "in front of the Toyota Automobile Museum".
