History
Tsukisamu-Chūō Station opened on 1994-10-14 as part of the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tōhō Line extension from Hōsui-Susukino to Fukuzumi, and carries the station number H13. It sits beneath National Route 36 in the existing Tsukisamu district of Toyohira-ku, Sapporo. A new bicycle parking area opened on 2005-08-18 behind Exit 3, allowing the older facility next to the Tsukisamu Gymnasium to be closed. The fare gates were upgraded to fully card-compatible machines on 2007-01-29, with an additional wheelchair-accessible gate added at the same time, and platform-edge doors entered service on 2016-09-21.
Notes
The single-arch Tsukisamu Tunnel between Tsukisamu-Chūō and Misono is Sapporo Municipal Subway's first NATM-built tunnel, with no central support pillar between the two tracks.
