Location

History

On 5 May 1912, with the opening of the section from Okayama-Ekimae, the stop opened under a different name. It closed on 18 March 1943 and reopened on 8 April 1949. On 20 December 1954 it was merged into the junction stop of another line and closed, and that stop took over its opening name. With that line's abolition on 1 June 1968 the stop was revived under that name, then renamed on 17 October 1970. On 1 July 1985 it moved 100 m towards the origin end of the line and became Shiroshita. It is stop H04 of Okayama Electric Tramway's Higashiyama Main Line, in Kita Ward, Okayama, and the nearest stop to Korakuen and Okayama Castle.

Notes

Stairs at the Higashiyama end of the stop lead down to Shirochika, an underground plaza beneath the intersection that links directly to Okayama Symphony Hall, which faces the stop, and lets pedestrians head towards Korakuen and the prefectural art museum without crossing the intersection.
