Hiragi Station opened on 30 April 1912 on the Takamatsu Electric Tramway in what is now Miki, Kagawa Prefecture. The line was folded into the new Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad on 1 November 1943, becoming part of its Nagao Line. The station building was rebuilt on 31 January 1978. Once Miki Town's primary station, Hiragi housed a power-generation facility and a turnback siding under the predecessor companies, traces of which remain on the grounds. The station was destaffed under the modern Kotoden organisation, and an IruCa fare-card reader and ticket vending machine were installed in its place. It now carries the line designation N12.

Before becoming unstaffed, Hiragi sold tickets from a tobacco shop just outside the station entrance — a curious arrangement for a staffed terminal that persisted until the shop changed hands under the modern Kotoden.
