Location

History

Hanamizuki-dori Station stands in the city of Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, on the Tōbu Kyūryō Line, the Aichi Rapid Transit Company's Linimo urban maglev route. It opened on 6 March 2005. The station carries the number L02 and lies 1.4 km from the line's starting point at Fujigaoka, with Irigaike Koen the next stop beyond. Two opposed side platforms serve it, the only such layout on Linimo, and the concourse sits below them, so passengers use stairs or one of four elevators fitted for barrier-free access. Movable platform doors protect both tracks. The station is unstaffed, with an intercom at the ticket and fare-adjustment machines for assistance; it has ticket machines and manaca fare gates, the IC card having been accepted since 12 March 2016. Nagakute Culture Center and Nagakute Central Library stand nearby.

Notes

On the stretch between Fujigaoka and this station a crew member rides along who as a rule does not drive; the job is to keep watch over the underground section, and because the role is neither that of a station attendant nor a conductor, this staff member neither checks nor sells tickets.
