History
Yatsu Station is on the Akita Nairiku Jūkan Railway's Nairiku Line in Semboku, Akita Prefecture, 82.9 kilometres from the terminus at Takanosu. It opened on 1 November 1971 as a station on the Japanese National Railways Kakunodate Line, then serving the village of Nishiki, Akita. The line was privatised on 1 November 1986 and passed to the Akita Nairiku Jūkan Railway, with Yatsu carried over to the new operator. The station consists of a single side platform serving a single bi-directional track. There is no station building, only a shelter built on the platform itself, and the stop has always been unattended. National Route 105 runs alongside the station.
