History

Tsutsui Station was opened by the Osaka Electric Tramway on its Unebi Line, now Kintetsu Railway's Kashihara Line. A merger with the Sangu Express Railway on 15 March 1941 made it a Kansai Express Railway station, and a further merger on 1 June 1944 made it a Kintetsu station. Elevation work around the station, undertaken so that the line would cross National Route 25 on a separate level, began in February 1975 and ended in June 1977. The station is in the city of Yamatokoriyama, Nara Prefecture. Its station number is B31. It has two opposing side platforms serving two tracks, long enough for four cars.

Notes

It is the only elevated station on the Kashihara Line.
