• Yodo Line: Tosa-Shōwa ⇄ Utsuigawa

Tosa-Taishō Station opened on 1 March 1974 under Japanese National Railways as a stop on the Yodo Line in what is now the town of Shimanto, Takaoka District, Kōchi Prefecture. It became an outsourced-management station on 1 August 1974 and was destaffed on 1 February 1984, although the bus operator Shimanto Kōtsū still sells tickets from an office inside the building. With the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987 it passed to JR Shikoku, where it carries the line number G30. Since 26 March 2016, when nearby Tōkawa lost its crossing loop, Tosa-Taishō has been the only passing station between Ekawasaki and the Kawaoku signal post.

The signpost outside the station continues to read "Kokutetsu (JNR) Tosa-Taishō Station," despite the line having been operated by JR Shikoku since the 1987 privatisation.
