History

Tojishiryokan Minami Station, on Aichi Rapid Transit's Tōbu Kyūryō Line — the urban maglev branded Linimo — opened on 6 March 2005; its station number is L08. During the Aichi World Exposition it was the closest station to the east gate of the Nagakute venue, and its planning-stage working name had been Kagaku Gijutsu Kōryū Center. It stands 8.0 km from the line's start at Fujigaoka, with an elevated island platform serving two tracks above the station building, platform edge doors and two elevators; manaca IC cards have been accepted since 12 March 2016. Ringed by forest in Yakusa-chō, Toyota, it serves the Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum in Seto, which took a new Japanese name in June 2013 that the station never adopted.

Notes

No other station on the Linimo stands as high: 176.3 m above sea level, with Mount Ontake and Mount Ibuki visible from the platform.
