History

Takojizō Station opened on 1 April 1914 between Kishiwada and Kaizuka on the Nankai Railway. A western station building was completed in 1925. Wartime consolidation transferred the station to Kintetsu in June 1944, and a 1947 line transfer returned it to Nankai. Station numbering NK25 was introduced on 1 April 2012. On 29 June 2022 the 1925 west building was registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property. The station retains the unusual Nankai pattern of two side platforms with entirely independent fare gates.

Notes

The 1925 west-side station building was added to Japan's register of tangible cultural properties on 29 June 2022.
