Location
History
Takamibashi opened on 17 December 1915 on the Kagoshima Electric Tramway, and transferred to the Kagoshima Municipal Electricity Bureau (the predecessor of the current Kagoshima City Transportation Bureau) on 1 July 1928. It serves Route 2 only. Sited a short walk from Kagoshima-Chūō Station, the area has long been a business-hotel cluster — dating back to when the station next door was Nishi-Kagoshima Station, before the 2004 Kyushu Shinkansen rename.
