History

Taisanji Station opened on 5 February 1915 and became unstaffed on 25 March 1952. In January 2004 the station building was rebuilt, and automatic ticket gates and automatic fare adjustment equipment were installed. The manaca IC card became usable at the station on 11 February 2011. The station is in Iwakura, Aichi Prefecture, on the Meitetsu Inuyama Line, 8.1 km from the line's starting point at Biwajima, and its station number is IY06. It is a ground-level station with two opposed side platforms serving two tracks, and the platforms are long enough for 6-car trains of 20 m cars.

Notes

Nothing inside the ticket gates links the two platforms, so a passenger who needs a train in the opposite direction has to cross at the level crossing south of the station and enter through the gate for the direction wanted.
