Location

History

Shiraniwadai Station opened on 27 March 2006, together with the Keihanna Line section between Ikoma and Gakken Nara-Tomigaoka. The name was settled in January 2005 and comes from the Shiraniwadai residential district, developed from the late 1980s into the 1990s. PiTaPa card support began on 1 April 2007. An elevated building holds the single ticket gate and the concourse on its first floor, above two semi-underground side platforms and two tracks, with tunnels on both sides. The building makes heavy use of gentle curves to harmonize with the hills around it, and its glass walls give an open feel. Kintetsu Railway operates the station on the Keihanna Line. It is in Ikoma, Nara Prefecture. Its station number is C28.

Notes

The district name Shiraniwadai comes from a mountain where the deity Nigihayahi-no-Mikoto is said to have settled after descending from heaven.
