• JR Keiyo Line: Etchūjima ⇄ Shin-kiba

Shiomi Station opened on 10 March 1990 on the JR East Keiyo Line in Koto, Tokyo. It was not part of the original Shin-kiba to Tokyo Keiyo plan but was added during construction. Suica acceptance began on 18 November 2001, and a departure melody was introduced on 25 March 2007. From 16 March 2013 Musashino-line through services began stopping after the Musashino Rapid was downgraded. The Midori-no-Madoguchi staffed ticket window closed on 31 March 2014, and the station became contracted-operations on 20 October 2014. Roof extensions installed in 2016-2017 finally covered the full platform length, replacing the original cover that only spanned four cars. JE04 was assigned at the 2016 JR East station-numbering rollout.

In fiscal 2023 Shiomi overtook Kasai-Rinkai-koen to become the busiest of the Keiyo Line's Rapid-skipped stations by daily boardings.
