History

Shin-Isesaki Station is a Tobu Railway station on the Isesaki Line, located 113.3 km from the Tokyo terminus at Asakusa and numbered TI-24. It opened on 27 March 1910 with the Ōta–Shin-Isesaki extension; the line was completed through to Isesaki on 13 July of the same year. The Tatebayashi–Isesaki section was electrified on 1 October 1927. As part of a 2.2 km continuous grade-separation project, the station was rebuilt on an elevated alignment with two opposed side platforms 130 m long, brought into service on 19 October 2013, replacing the previous 2-platform, 3-track ground-level layout.
