Location
History
Saruwada Station, on the Ban'etsu West Line, opened on 15 August 1955, 161.9 kilometres from the line's Kōriyama end. It has a single side platform serving one bi-directional track and is unattended. The station passed from Japanese National Railways to JR East on 1 April 1987 when the railways were privatised, and a new station building was completed in 2009. The immediate surroundings include the Saruwada post office, Gosen Kawahigashi Elementary and Junior High Schools, and National Route 290.
