• JR Sakurajima Line: Universal City

Sakurajima Station is the western terminus of the JR West Sakurajima Line (JR Yumesaki Line) in Konohana ward, Osaka. Its predecessor, Tenpōzan Station, opened on 1 April 1905 on the Nishinari Railway, and the present site was relocated and opened as Sakurajima on 15 April 1910 to serve the developing Sakurajima waterfront. The line was nationalised on 1 December 1906. Through the early 20th century it became a major freight hub, dispatching coal, salt, petroleum and timber unloaded from the wharves to inland Osaka. After the line was rerouted, the station was rebuilt at its current position and now sits at the southwest edge of Universal Studios Japan.

The current station sits at the southwest corner of Universal Studios Japan, but the park itself can only be reached from the next stop, Universal City.
