With the privatisation of the line on 1 November 1986 it passed to the third-sector Akita Nairiku Jūkan Railway and now lies 40.9 kilometres along the Nairiku Line from the northern terminus at Takanosu. The unstaffed stop consists of a single side platform serving a bidirectional track.
