History
Noshi Station opened on 15 December 1994 as a new stop on the third-sector Akechi Railway. The station carries number 2.
Notes
Noshi is a single-platform, ground-level, unstaffed station built on track with a 30‰ (3.0%) grade — the third-steepest gradient at any station nationwide, behind Iinuma Station (also on the Akechi Line) and one other. A trackside sign on the platform reads "Track Gradient 30." The Miroku-den, a temple believed to grant relief for ear ailments and home to a 1-metre kara-wood image of Miroku-son made by the priest Gyōki in the Tenpyō era, lies within walking distance; petitioners traditionally offer twelve gimlets when their prayers are fulfilled.
