• San'in Main Line: Hamasaka ⇄ Igumi

Moroyose Station opened on 18 July 1931 as a seasonal temporary stop on the Ministry of Railways' San'in Main Line between Hamasaka and Igumi, in what is now the town of Shin'onsen in Mikata District, Hyōgo Prefecture. Initially handling only passenger traffic during peak season, it was upgraded to a full year-round station on 1 June 1938. Freight handling began on 11 February 1947 but was discontinued on 1 April 1971. Daytime-only staffing was introduced in December 1970, and the station became fully unstaffed from 4 April 1983. The station passed to JR West at the 1 April 1987 privatisation of Japanese National Railways. Today it consists of a single wooden station building from 1938 and a single side platform serving a bi-directional track, 199.8 kilometres from Kyoto.

The wooden station building that still serves today dates from the 1938 upgrade of the seasonal Moroyose halt into a full year-round station.
