History

Miso-Tenjin-mae opened on 1 August 1924 as Miso-Tenjin-mae Station (味噌天神前停留場), was renamed Miso-Tenjin Station at an unrecorded date, was then abolished at an unrecorded date, reopened as Miso-Tenjin Station in May 1948, and was renamed Miso-Tenjin-mae before 1962. It is stop 15 on the Suizenji Line, served by both A- and B-system trams.

Notes

The stop's name traces to the nearby Honmura Shrine — popularly called "Miso-Tenjin" — said to be the only shrine in Japan that enshrines a kami of miso paste.
