History

Mimasaka-Sendai Station is in Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture, on the Kishin Line of West Japan Railway Company (JR West). It opened on 21 August 1923, when the Ministry of Railways opened a section starting at Tsuyama, and the line became part of the Kishin Line on 10 October 1936. Freight handling ended on 1 March 1962, and the station became unstaffed on 31 March 1984. It passed to JR West on 1 April 1987, when Japanese National Railways was divided and privatized. It has one ground-level side platform and one track; a second platform that once faced it is out of use, and its track has been removed. The building is wooden, and Tsuyama Station manages the station.

Notes

The post box in front of the station used to be square and has since been replaced with a cylindrical one.
