History

Matsue Vogel Park Station opened on 23 July 2001 to serve the newly opened Matsue Vogel Park aviary and greenhouse. On 15 March 2004 it became a stop for the upgraded "Izumo Taisha-gō" express service, and on 1 April 2006 the railway operation of the line passed from Ichibata Electric Railway to the newly spun-off Ichibata Electric Train Co., Ltd.

Notes

The platform shelter at Matsue Vogel Park is roofed in a style that imitates the chigi (forked finial) of a Shinto shrine. On automated voice and digital station-name displays the station is shortened to simply "Vogel," and the station nameboard also carries an all-hiragana rendering "まつえふぉーげるぱーく" alongside the standard mixed-script form.
