History

Manba Station opened on 1 March 1955 on the Etsumi-Nan Line, then run by Japanese National Railways, as one of four stations added to the line that year. On 11 December 1986 the line passed to Nagaragawa Railway, making this one of that company's stations. It has one side platform and one track at ground level, with no station building; a waiting room stands near the middle of the platform, and passengers enter from its down-direction end. The station is unstaffed and has no ticket vending machine. It is in Gujo, Gifu Prefecture, and its station number is 30, between Gujo-Yamato (29) and Kami-Manba (31). Nearby are Gifu Prefectural Route 52, the Nagara River and an elementary school.
