History

Kurozasa Station opened on 29 July 1979 as an unstaffed station on the Meitetsu Toyota Line, in Miyoshi City, Aichi Prefecture. From March 1984 staff were posted between 07:00 and 19:00, and a new station building was completed in 1988. With the introduction of the Tranpass fare system on 1 October 2003 the station was unstaffed again and managed remotely from Toyotashi Station. An elevator was installed in April 2006 and IC card travel using manaca began on 11 February 2011. A change of town designation followed a land readjustment project in May 2011, and Tranpass service ended in February 2012.
