History

Kurokawa opened on 1 October 1961 as a Japanese National Railways station, accepting only diesel-railcar passengers and unstaffed from the start. The station passed to JR Shikoku at the JNR privatisation on 1 April 1987.

Notes

Although Kurokawa Station itself sits in Mannō Town, the town border with Mitoyo City runs very close by, and the "Kurokawa" name was taken from a place name on the Mitoyo side.
