Location
History
Kokenawa Station is on the Chizu Line, run by the third-sector company Chizu Express, in Kamigori, Ako District, Hyogo Prefecture. The station was set up on 3 December 1994, together with the opening of the line. It is an elevated station whose single side platform, serving one track, lies on the right for passengers heading toward Chizu. The station is unstaffed. On 10 August 2009, damage from heavy rain brought by Typhoon No. 9 temporarily halted train arrivals and departures at the station, and local trains on the Chizu Line resumed on 29 August.
Notes
A ground-level station building holds a waiting room and toilets, yet the platform can be entered directly, and the station has no ticket vending machine or other place to buy a ticket.
