History
Koguriyama Station is an unstaffed halt on the Kōnan Railway Ōwani Line in the city of Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. It opened on 26 January 1952 together with the rest of the Ōwani Line, which was inaugurated by the Hirosaki Electric Railway. The line, and with it Koguriyama, passed to Kōnan Railway Company on 1 October 1970. The station sits 9.3 kilometres from the southern terminus at Ōwani Station and is fitted with a single side platform serving one bi-directional track. There is no station building; passengers wait under a small shelter on the platform.
Notes
The line was originally built by the Hirosaki Electric Railway as an interurban electric route, not by JNR; Kōnan Railway absorbed it in 1970.
