Location
History
Kira Yoshida Station opened on 25 August 1928 as Mikawa Yoshida Station on the Mikawa Railway in what is now Nishio, Aichi Prefecture. The line later passed to Meitetsu, and the station was renamed to its present form on 1 November 1960. Today it is operated by Meitetsu as a junction between the Nishio Line, where it lies 11.6 kilometres from the starting point at Shin Anjo, and as the terminus of the Gamagori Line, 17.6 kilometres from Gamagori. The station has two pairs of opposed side platforms set at an angle to each other in a V shape, with one platform out of service; it is staffed and equipped with Manaca turnstiles.
Notes
Its two pairs of platforms are angled into a V shape because the Nishio Line and the Gamagori Line meet here as separate routes rather than sharing tracks through the station.
