History

Kazamatsuri Station opened on 1935-10-10 when Hakone Tozan Railway, founded seven years earlier in 1928, converted its Odawara-to-Hakone-Yumoto tram line into a full railway. The station was completely reconstructed in 2007-2008, replacing the original single island platform with two opposed side platforms. Station numbering OH49 was added in January 2014, and operation transferred to Odakyu Hakone on 2024-04-01 as part of an Odakyu Group restructure of its Hakone businesses.

Notes

Original single island platform was scrapped in the 2007–2008 reconstruction in favour of two opposed side platforms.
