• Sendai Namboku Line: Atagobashi ⇄ Nagamachi-Itchome

Kawaramachi Station, on the Sendai Subway Namboku Line in Wakabayashi-ku, opened on 1987-07-15 with the line's inaugural section. The spot had earlier been a Sendai City Tram stop of the same name, opened on 1934-12-02 as part of the Nagamachi tram line and shut on 1976-04-01 when the city tram closed. The subway station is numbered N13, with a single island platform underground beneath the former National Route 4 alignment. Platform-edge doors went into service on 2009-11-14, and icsca was introduced on 2014-12-06. Two entrances on the road and a sidetrack just north of the platform complete the layout.

A pre-war Sendai City Tram stop of the same name preceded the subway here by more than half a century, opening on 1934-12-02 along the Nagamachi tram line.
