Location

History

The station opened on 29 March 1898 (or 2 April) as Nagano Station, the terminus of a Koya Railway extension; that line is now the Nankai Koya Line. The railway that operated what is now the Kintetsu Nagano Line reached the station on 12 December 1902, and the two lines have served it since. It took its present name on 1 April 1954, the day the town of Nagano became the city of Kawachinagano by merger. It was rebuilt with an overhead station building on 16 October 1976, and Koya Line limited express trains have stopped here since 26 June 1983. The station is in the city of Kawachinagano, Osaka Prefecture. Its station numbers are NK69 (Nankai) and O23 (Kintetsu).

Notes

Nankai writes the station name in Latin letters as one word, Kawachinagano, while Kintetsu splits it with a hyphen as Kawachi-Nagano.
