History

Kagiya-nakanoike Station is a Meitetsu Kōwa Line station in Tōkai, Aichi Prefecture, set 1.4 km from each of its neighbours Takayokosuka and Minami-Kagiya. Meitetsu and Aichi Prefecture agreed in 2015 to build the new stop ahead of the nearby Nishi-Chita General Hospital opening. The primary name was finalised on 22 December 2022, with a secondary public name referring to the hospital added at the request of Tōkai city; the opening date of 16 March 2024 was confirmed on 1 September 2023. The station has two side platforms linked by a footbridge, is staffed, and is fitted with Manaca-compatible automatic ticket gates; only the north exit became operational at opening, with the south exit to follow later.
