History
Jōtō Station opened on 10 November 1928 as Ikkemachi Station on the Jōmō Electric Railway in what is now the city of Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture. The station was renamed Jōtō on 10 April 1994. It remains an unattended halt with a single side platform serving traffic in both directions on the Jōmō Line, situated 0.8 kilometres from the line's terminus at Chūō-Maebashi.
Notes
The station is sometimes confused with Jōtō Station in Okayama on the JR West San'yō Main Line, which shares the same reading "Jōtō" despite using a different writing in the Gunma case.
