History
Isahaya-higashi-kōkō Station opened as Isahaya-higashi-kōkōmae Station on 12 November 1984 on the Shimabara Railway Line, 11.4 km from the line's origin at Isahaya. It was renamed to its present form on 1 October 2019. The unstaffed halt has a single side platform on the west side of the track, with no station building beyond a simple platform shelter and two beverage vending machines. The station is operated by the third-sector Shimabara Railway and exists to serve the adjacent Nagasaki Prefectural Isahaya Higashi High School.
