• Nagasaki Main Line: Hizen-Nanaura ⇄ Tara

Hizen-Iida Station opened on 16 April 1934 as an intermediate stop on the new Nagasaki Main Line coastal extension built south from Hizen-Hama to Tara by Japanese Government Railways, originally branded the Ariake Line. The entire route from Hizen-Yamaguchi through the station to Nagasaki was completed on 1 December 1934 and redesignated as the Nagasaki Main Line. The station has been unstaffed since 1 April 1972, when parcel handling ceased. Following the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987, control passed to JR Kyushu. With the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen opening on 23 September 2022, the section from Hizen-Hama to Nagasaki — including this station — was de-electrified, leaving it served by diesel local trains only.
