Hida-Osaka Station is a JR Central Takayama Main Line station in Ōshima, Osaka-chō, Gero, Gifu Prefecture, serving as the gateway to the Osaka hot-spring district and the Hida-side trailhead for Mount Ontake. It opened as a Japanese National Railways station on 25 August 1933 when the Takayama Line was extended from Hida-Hagiwara to here; on 25 October 1934 the line was renamed Takayama Main Line and extended further to Sakagami. The station became unstaffed on 1 April 2011 when its simplified-consignment ended; it had been selected for the inaugural 'Top 100 Stations of Chūbu' on 14 October 1999.

Hida-Osaka's original 1933 wooden station building is built in a log-style mountain-cabin design with a chigi-like ridge ornament — a homage to Mount Ontake's sacred status and to the abundant local timber. The building was chosen as one of Chūbu's Top 100 Stations in 1999, and is often compared with Ōtsuki Station on the Chūō Main Line.
