History

Hida-Hagiwara Station is a JR Central Takayama Main Line station in Hagiwara-chō, Gero, Gifu Prefecture. It opened on 9 May 1931 when the Japanese National Railways' Takayama Line was extended from Gero to Hida-Hagiwara, making it the line's terminus until further extension. On 25 August 1933 the line continued to Hida-Osaka, and the station was transferred to JR Central at the 1987 privatisation.

Notes

Hida-Hagiwara was the temporary terminus of the Takayama Line for about two years — from its 9 May 1931 opening until the 25 August 1933 extension to Hida-Osaka.
