• Tozai Line: Miyanosawa ⇄ Kotoni (Sapporo Municipal Transportation Bureau)

Hassamu-Minami Station opened on 25 February 1999 with the Tōzai Line extension from Kotoni to Miyanosawa. The provisional working name during planning was simply Hassamu Station, but it was changed to Hassamu-Minami because the name duplicated that of an existing JR Hokkaidō station. The single island platform sits under the Nijūyonken-Teine-dōri, with a connecting lift between the platform and the concourse. Platform-edge doors entered service on 24 February 2009, and the station is designated as the substitute-transport stop for the JR Hassamu-Chūō station when JR Hokkaidō services are suspended for long periods.

Hassamu-Minami and the next stop, Miyanosawa, are the only stations on the Tōzai Line where the platform-to-concourse escalators face the opposite direction from the rest of the line.
