History

Furue Station opened on 22 August 1922, the day the Miyajima Line itself opened. The line was about 2.8 km long at the time, and Furue was one of its intermediate stations, alongside Takasu Station. Today the station is on the Miyajima Line of Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) and carries the number M21. It is in Nishi-ku, Hiroshima. The station is at ground level, with two platforms serving two tracks, and the area around it is residential, with many mid-rise residential buildings.

Notes

A level crossing lies between the station's two platforms, which sit diagonally opposite each other.
