History

Aramachi Station (C10) is a Toyama Chihō Railway tram stop in Aramachi, Toyama City, on prefectural road 43 (Toyama-Kamitaki-Tateyama Line) near the Route 41 intersection. It opened on 1 September 1913 as Kimachi tram stop on the Toyama Electric Tramway, was transferred to the Toyama City Tramway on 1 July 1920, became part of Toyama Chihō Railway on 1 January 1943, was suspended on 2 August 1945 by the Toyama Air Raid and restored 14 January 1946, and was renamed Aramachi on 15 April 1965.

Notes

From its 1913 opening until 15 April 1965 the stop was called Kimachi — the name was changed only after the line reopened from wartime suspension, half a century after opening.
