Arahata Station opened on 18 March 1977 as a station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Tsurumai Line. It is located in 4-chōme, Tsurumai, Shōwa-ku, Nagoya, and carries station number T11. It is administered by the Tsurumai Line station office's Kamimaezu district station. Platform doors began operating on 4 August 2025. Although there are two high schools nearby, bus connections are limited, and because the neighboring Tsurumai and Gokiso stations are major stations serving multiple lines, ridership here has remained comparatively low.
