Amino Station, in the city of Kyōtango in Kyoto Prefecture, lies on the Miyazu Line and is operated by Willer Trains under the Kyoto Tango Railway brand. It opened on 25 December 1926, the first day of the Shōwa era and the date of Emperor Taishō's death, making it the first new station of that era. With the 1987 privatisation of JNR it passed to JR West, then in 1990 to Kitakinki Tango Railway when Miyazu Line operations were transferred, and in 2015 to Willer Trains. In 2014 Kyōtango selected the affectionate nickname 'Shizuka Gozen and Otohime no Sato Station' through a public-naming committee.

Amino Station opened on 25 December 1926, the same day Emperor Taishō died and the Shōwa era began, making it the first new railway station of the Shōwa period.
